Several months ago I put an ad in the local newspaper stating that I was looking for a
C-band dish in exchange for hauling the thing away. I found an 8.5' solid dish in excellent shape. The previous owner also gave me an Echostar 600 receiver. The receiver powers up and appears to be in good shape. I am wondering if I would be able to use this receiver to control the dish
actuator and/or the feedhorn servo. I have a Lifetime
Classic NA that I have been using for Ku for over a year now. My hope was to be able to view C-band DVB.
My understanding is that there is little analog left on C so I doubt that the receiver has any other uses.
The dish is now set up at my location but I am waiting on a handfull of mail order items before I can test anything.
I also have some questions about LNBs. I'll do some more looking around here for the answers in case they have been asked before.
Thanks :-)
