The confusion is due to those into the illegal pirating of the dishnet, etc, who make people think that those things are available unscrambled. The dishnet,
DTV and Nimiq sats are indeed circular, so the pirates need a circular LNBF. The linear FTA channels are NOT going to be the same cable type channels you'd find on Dishnet or DTV. The channels you'll find FTA are things like network newsfeeds, various sports feeds,
PBS, assorted NBC, ABC and CBS network feeds various 2nd teir networks, like CW, FOX, RTN and Univision from a bunch of towns, a bunch of religious channels, and a bunch of ethnic/foreign language channels.
