Thinking i put it together wrong
I bought a brand new Corotor II C/KU from a company,It came in seperate parts, the KU/and then an elbow for the KU and then a bigger elbow for the c band part i believe,Its like an extra extension or something do i really need it.My feedhorn cover won't fit over it perfectly. And its the newest model the company told me.Is there a picture i can see to put this together right. They wouldn't tell me anything. Also what is the best Sat and non paid channel to set up the dish with.Useing the sat letters on a DSR922 Thank you

Use of the elbows is optional, and depends on what LNBs you have. Less is better. Some LNBs have their own built in elbow, and if so, you can usually get the thing to fit inside the cover if you attach that directly without the extension elbow, but if you have a straight LNB, it usually helps to use the elbow to get it to fit inside the feedhorn cover. I've alternated with respect to using the cover. I tend to use it in the winter, but don't use it in the summer, because it tends to collect wasps in the summer.
Re setting up 922, someone else can help on that. I think G1 (Galaxy 15) is key (one of the reasons I never got a 4DTV, because I only get that in the winter.)

Ok I think perhaps you do not even have your 922 hooked up to the TV. I looked at Sadoun's diagram and it is missing the portion that ties it all to the TV. Connect the RF out from the DVB receiver to the ANT in of the 922. The RF out of the 922 to the TV. Now you can use the source button on the 922 remote to switch between receivers. If you are using the RCA jacks on either receiver I suggest not using them until you understand the flow which is far easier to see with the RF ports. Once you understand that portion you can start to convert over to the RCA ports if you desire.

I have the receivers hooked up with the video cables the DVB receiver is video 1 and the 922 is video 2 this way i can use the picture in picture function on the tv to watch both receivers at the same time comes in handy when tuning sats with out analog feeds.

What HDTV do you have??
From what I saw, when we were shopping for an HDTV, many (most?) don't even have PIP, but I used PIP so much that it was an absolute necessity, so I made sure to get a brand that listed PIP as a function. We got a SAMSUNG.
When we got the TV home though, much like you describe, we found out that PIP was not available when in certain modes, which really annoyed me. However I found a way around this, that works at least in MY arrangement.
We normally have local OTA ATSC HD coming in the antenna input, and various satellite coming in through the A/V ports, however the SAMSUNG doesn't allow PIP when using the antenna input as the primary input, and won't allow any A/V port to BE the PIP. So I can't run one A/V and have another A/V as a PIP. The SAMSUNG DOES allow putting the antenna input into a PIP when an A/V source is in the main screen.
However, what I found was, that the SAMSUNG has a 2nd antenna input, ie the "cable" input. So I routed the RF output from one of my TIVOs (to which I feed 4 different sat receivers via a switch) to the cable input of my TV. This allows me to run virtually any input I watch (except for OTA HD) in the main window, and run any of my sat receivers in the PIP. This is quite handy, except that the SAMSUNG doesn't remember the PIP mode I like, and I have to go back and change the setup every day.
Anyway, if you have a SAMSUNG, the above works pretty well.
EDIT: BTW, with the SAMSUNG, I don't really use PIP, but instead use the side by side PIP mode, which is two 1/2 sized windows side by side. I think that the video quality is actually better than when looking at a SD channel full screen, although it is slightly smaller. But since my main reason for using PIPs is to allow me to change channels and change satellites and set up blind scans, etc, all while watching some programming from another source, the side by side works quite well, because the PIP is big enough to allow me to read the numbers from the sat receiver easily.

hook your DSr922 to video 1 and your digital FTA receiver to video 2 set either video 1 or 2 as your PIP setting that way you can see both the dsr and fta picture at the same time thats the way i got mine set up and it works great.
