X4 Channels gone

Today I have lost all my of X4 channels. My lnb is fine, I checked it with my FTA. I can receive the 2 free channels on G4. I get the "cannot find channel continuing to search" message.

I did an online rehit (G1 105) and the trip counter advanced. Channels number reads 4711. On X4 642, SciFi the Signal quality at options 6-5 is 139/72.

Any suggestions on what could be the problem?

All other satellites are coming in fine.

Thanks,

I was not aware a 4DTV receiver would show above 100. Sounds like alignment to me. Real simple. Goto X4, options 6-4-4 enter. Go to peak signal (down 2) and let the receiver peak signla for the sat. Then do the same for the skew

Physical okay

I have checked all the cabling, the splitters, and the receiver. I am receive Ku on my Mercury II well. I was wondering if my focal length on my dish may be off.

In you experience, what way is it most likely to be off?

Thanks,

You specify one sat not Ku overall. One sat indicates alignment problem. If you follow what I have above you should get X4 back.

Retune

I spent hours retuning X4 yesterday. I tried several other satellites, but could not get a Ku lock. Not many Ku's on DCII.

I am down to either the focal length is out just enough to not allow my DSR 922 to lock on X4, or there is a problem with my receiver.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Receiver reboot

The problem that I am having with Ku reception on my 922 started Saturday. I was watching a movie and hit the info key. The receiver rebooted itself. Shortly there after I tried to go to X4 and could not lock on any signals. I can not lock on to any Ku signals.

So here are my questions.

1. Could the reboot cause the receiver to not be able to receive Ku?
2. Can a 922 lose the ability to receive Ku and still pick up C-band?
3. Would a master reset bring back the receiver's ability to pick up Ku?
4. Can I hook up my Ku lnb to the C-band port and receive Ku?

I just don't believe that my problem is physical. My quality numbers on X4 was in the 70's before I lost all my Ku channels.

Thanks for all of you suggestions and comments.

922's have a reputation for not landing properly. Could also be a Hall effect switch in the actuator. Could be dish really misaligned and rubbing against it's own mount. You can start with a master reset but I still think it may be alignment. You are getting no KU at all on both receivers? Are you sure you have your splitter in properly? DC Pass should be on the leg that goes to the 922. The other leg should not be a DC Pass and got o the DVB receiver.

If your splitter is not a DC Pass on a single leg you very well could have blow out the Ku port on the 922. I am not positive but I do not think the 922 with take Ku through the C port. It will accept 2 C band inputs or a C and Ku but as I am sure you are aware the ports are marked. I would think if it did not matter it would not be specifically marked.

Are you going from G1 to X4? If you pass through the Canadian sats while moving to a Ku sat it can cause havoc on the 922. Solution is a master reset and in the future go to G4 from the west and then to X4. 2 free channels on G4? C Band DCII channels or DVB? Are you getting anything registering on the DVB receiver for that sat? Should be a few feeds that may pop up as hot if you are aligned properly. Can you get the Ku channels on 97 with the same dish lnb combo and the DVB receiver?

I am receiving Ku on my FTA on most all satellites. I am receiving the 2 free channels on G4 on C-band. I have not tried Ku on 97 yet, but I will this evening. If the reboot, or the Canadian satellites messed up my receiver, will the master reset bring back my Ku channels?

Thanks,

I am not concerned with C Band channels. I can not say your Ku will come back or not. A master reset will not hurt anything. What happens when you try channel 430 on X4?
