DSR 922 and G27

Does anyone know how to add Galaxy 27? It isn't listed in the preprogrammed satellites.
Thanks,
Wayne

depends on the type of receiver you have the fortec will usualy allow you to add new sats or rename old sats.

edit: i see you have a dsr 922 this sat is probaly listed as T7 in it. not sure if you can rename sats or not haven't got that receiver yet.

Can not rename the tiles. All tiles are 2 digit entries. first is a letter and the second is a number. Orbit and I would guess any 4DTV site would show what sat is what. This is the primary reason I refer to sats by location and not by name. For C Band in my Fortec box (since I control with the 922) I rename all sats to the 4DTV tile names. This way I know quickly what sat to point the dish at & know it is a sat that requires the 4DTV receiver control.

There is no tile at 129W corresponding to Galaxy 27. Perhaps I am missing an update.

What is G9? G1 is 131 if memory serves me well. G0 is 123 and you have G5 and G9 between the two of them. Perhaps even C3 or C4 also which if there is a C tile in there would make 3 or 1 every 2 degrees. You have to program ni the sat for it to show in your list of sats in case you are not aware. I am not in front of my 922 but I think the command is options-6-4-4. This will bring up all sats available for programming. Once you set the location it will appear in your list when you hit the sat button.

Galaxy 27 at 129.0°W - LyngSat
Galaxy 27 is at 129W, between G0 (G9) and F3 (C3).
options-6-4-4 is add a sat, and there is no darn tile for Galaxy 27.
I just got through moving the 6' Sami on the HTS 70 to get further West, and would really like to get the Perfect 10 and the DSR 922 on G 27. I would think it would download an update for that satellite.
