Since there is an old unused dish500 on my house, that would give me one more "permanent" location that doesn't require constant motoring back and forth to receive music (currently, if someone downstairs is watching TV on the FTA equipment, I can't reposition the dish to pickup music in my office)

This should be easy to do. I used to have a similar setup with an old single sat
DTV dish that I'd switch in to listen to some unencrypted audio from time to time. I also for a while did a similar thing with a 3 sat DTV dish. I can't keep up with all the various types of Dishnet systems, but if your
dish 500 is one of those where you can get access to the individual lnbfs, I would just run a cable straight from the lnbf with the music channel you want, and bypass any dishnet switches that might be confused by the diseqc signals. If I wanted music for an office, I'd just run this straight into a
Twinhan 1020a in the computer, and you can have all sorts of music playing in the background while working.
