Does tsreader need drivers? If I have the card in w/o tsreader wont start at all. If the drivers are installed it shows up in sound/multimedia etc as DTV Vidoe and DTV audio I think.
What driver set did you use for your 1020A?

Re showing up in Sound/multimedia, as DTV video and audio, yes, although in my computer it is in Sound,video and game controllers rather than multimedia, but same thing. Yes, shows up as DTV. In my computer, it also shows up under network adapters, however I also installed the Vision Data thing which makes the card appear as a NIC. I think the newer software does this automatically, but originally when I first got the card, there was no VisionData thing, so it may not appear as a NIC in your computer. I think it's version 1.9.0.1 in the Sound/video control panel, and version 1.7.0.0 in the NIC section. I'm not sure what the .inf file listed for the file names.
Re TSREADER needing drivers, it needs the card to be registered properly on the PC, and it sounds like it is on yours, UNLESS you've installed more than one version of
Twinhan software. If you've done that, and haven't COMPLETELY removed all previous traces of the software, things will be messed up.
But if the card is installed properly, TSREADER should use the drivers already registered, and has a source DLL that was written to handle all the Twinhan cards.
Perhaps you should go to the Twinhan web page and get the new drivers for the card, assuming that you're using what was on the CD. It's possible that TSREADER only works with the card now if you have the new drivers. I originally had drivers that came on the CD, then upgraded by installing the VisionData, then I upgraded by installing new drivers from their web page. I seem to remember some issue about TSREADER compatability with the 1020, but the card is still listed as a supported card. I think the new Twinhan program has drivers for all the sat cards.
I've read posts from people who have had problems with the Twinhan cards, and usually they are cured by switching slots in the PC, but not always.
One thing though. I've found that my 1020a does NOT seem to be compatable with SATA hard drives. Most of the hard drives in my computer are IDE/EIDE things, but I have one SATA drive. I have found that any time I am trying to read or write to the SATA drive, that it will shut down the Twinhan card. I have no idea why. So I'd recommend a computer with only IDE drives, and try exchanging slots and installing the new Twinhan software.
