I purchased my Fortec Star Mercury II in March 2007 and it also shipped with the v1.06 software.
The only thing that I have found with v1.06 that annoys me, is sometime when scanning, the signal meter registers that there is no signal, when there is signal.
I read about that glitch in these forums, dismissed the glitch as a glitch
, and now that doesn't bother me any longer.
I've thought about upgrading to one of the newer versions of the software, but I also have the same issues of messing up and having to send the unit back to Fortec Star. That I do not want to do.
