Is your TV an
HDTV?
What you say above, is what I used to do with my SD TV, but it isn't that simple with the HDTV we got this spring. Before buying it, we checked out 6 or 8 different brands of HDTVs, and only 2 of them listed PIP as a function, and the one I bought will only put the antenna input in the PIP, not the A/V or component inputs.
Anyway, if your TV is an HDTV, I'm curious what brand it is.
I'm really curious just what the issue is with PIPs and HDTVs. There must be something complicated about the scaling involved for putting a SD analog signal into a PIP, because otherwise I can't understand why manufacturers who have included PIPs in their SD sets for years, don't put them in HDTVs.
