You need to understand how the system works before moving any farther forward. The lnb has absolutely nothing to do with movement of the dish. They are 2 independant operation/procedures. There are for all practical purposes only a few things that can cause a dish to stop moving.
1.)
Actuator is bad
2.) Broken wire or not connected properly to the receiver
3.) Broken wire or not connected properly to the actuator
4.) Physical break in mounting or severe misalignment of the dish causing it to be locked up against itself. Rust could also cause this.
Where to start:
1.) Disconnect one mounting point of the actuator and attempt to move the dish by hand from side to side. Does the dish move freely for the full travel? If yes proceed. If no you have a problem in your mount. Look for the obvious.
2.) With the actuator still disconnected on one end attempt to move the dish with the receiver (DSR922). Does the actuator move in and out smoothly? If yes reconnect and proceed. If no check wiring. If wiring is ok the actuator is most likely bad. If wiring problem is found repair wiring.
3.) With actuator connected attempt to move the dish. Does the dish move smoothly? If yes sounds like problem solved. If no the actuator is most likely bad as it will not move under normal load.
