Someone told me this maybe due to the fact fiber glass dishes do not support KU LNBs, and suggested perhaps re-painting the dish with a supporting material. We tgried using both Universal and Dish single standard LNBs without any luck.

I am wondering if anyone here who is willing to help and share some tips on how to set the dish. I live in Rochester, MN.

Thanks in advance for your attention and help.
The fiberglass dish has metal mesh or something inside the fiberglass. No way to tell if it is Ku compatable or not, but it is probably OK, because anything relatively new will work on Ku, and anything very old would have needed to be bigger than that to get C-band. So it's likely that you just aren't aimed at the sat you're looking for. Also, you need to set up your receiver with LO freq matching your lnbf, and have to tune the receiver to an active transponder. What sat, and transponder are you trying to hit, and where did you get the "universal" lnbf, and what does it say on it relative to frequencies? What receiver? How are you moving dish, and how is receiver connected?
