Yes it is the diseqc switch I was referring to, and I am using a dual LNB.
According to your reply, if I run straight to motor from reciever, then the diseqc switch and the ground block would have to be mounted between the rotor and the dish. Is this the way most are wired?

Yes, switch between motor and LNBF.
Re orange LED, I forget what that means, but I'm guessing that you may have either entered E instead or W for either a sat location or your own longitude. Another possibility is that your soft limits have been set too narrow, in which case disable the limits.
