Most dishnetwork receivers do not know the built in switch that is in the 1000.2 lnb. The receiver must take the software update to recognize the switch. In your case, the receiver had the chance to download the update during the night. That's why it worked the next day.
Next time you install 1000.2, just run the check switch and let it take the update, then run check switch again.
