HDTV? I bought a LG DVD recorder, but it didn't have a HD tuner built in. I can only record analog tv stations. Now I see there are DVD recorders on the market with 'Digital' tuners, but they don't explain whether they are HD digital. Does anyone know?
I do have a computer with HDTV tuner built in and I can record to the hard disk, but the file for a movie in HD is huge (30-50 GB). Since a DVD holds only about 6 GB, you are not going to get a 2 hour movie on it.
Here is a question for everyone - Can I send signal from my HDTV to my DVD recorder, via one of the inputs, to record HD? There is an output on my tv, and I tried this, but the signal did not get to the DVD recorder. Nothing showed for that input.
