If you have an SM3D22 or SM3D12 motor that you want to change its rotation from 50E/50W to another unsymmetrical range, the work envolves opening the motor case (which will void the warranty BTW). So if you do it, it is at your own risk. We normally don't advice customers to open a motor and repair/change something, because of warranty. The work envolves shiftng the mechanical axis and other corrected factors on electronic board.

I haven't done that, but when I do it, I will share some pictures. If anyone has done it and want to chime here, that will be great.
I don't have that motor, but I'm curious about this. When this unsymmetrical range alteration is done, is the motor shaft still centered, with the bend down, when the motor is at it's zero position? Ie I don't know what it looks like inside, but I'm imagining a big semicircular gear attached to the motor shaft, driven by a small drive gear. If the engagement of this gear is just shifted, it seams like the bend in the motor shaft wouldn't be down when zeroed, and this is important. However if it a situation where the motor shaft's orientation re the big gear is changed, then the bend could still be down....... not sure I made that clear.

Anyway, it would be interesting to see pictures of this alteration when you do it. Should be interesting.
