Corey is on a distinguished road
I usually don't know exactly what I'm looking for at first, so I start googling around with keywords that I think are close to what I want, then after reading a bunch of web pages, I eventually zero in on the right set of keywords for what I want.

From that point, I generally find a product that suits what I want, then I broaden the search again, now knowing more about what I'm looking for and compare similar products and sellers with the range of products they have, support forums, and such.

However, once I finally find a seller that I like, I usually stick with them till they don't have what I'm looking for, or I have found that their service is not as good as I expect. So you can read from this that I don't price shop as much once I settle on a seller that I like.

For example, I have been using Newegg.com for buying computer parts. They have been really great for me and so I pretty much don't price shop away from them anymore... although I have to say that I think their pricing is pretty aggressive.
