Yeah, I tend to go fanatical once I start on something
FTA is a "back to the future" project for me. I had a 12' C band dish back in the early 80's as did my best friend (We tend to share the same hobbies and have for the past 50 years), ie. cars, Sat. dishes, Ham Radio, RC Planes, Computers, etc (and both have wives who put up with our "hobbies").......
After I got my 31" up and running last summer it took until around Oct for him to get his
and he's now trying to talk to his brother into making the jump into FTA as well (his brother is playing with Digital antennas and watching
HD, something I havent done yet)...
I know the digital side is not as easy as the Analog side was (as you pointed out, it wasn't that long ago I couldn't even get a blip on the FTA receiver
) so the C band digital is def going to be a new experience.
But, We'll see what happens!!! Keeps life interesting
