What happened was Voom went out of business.
Dish bought what was left of Voom distribution, and is sending (similar) stuff and calling it their own.
So, in order to pickup Dish's version (of what used to be Voom) signals, you'll need an MPEG4 type capable receiver.
So if you want the most of Dish's
HD lineup, get the later version of their box.
