I'm curious, what kind of switch? Most of the newer receivers will control a lnbf without any switch. My 6000 won't, but it has a mode where it goes between 14 and zero volts, and the second normal mode where it is always 18V. I have temporarily run an LNBF off this receiver by switching back and forth between the 2 ports (slaving to a 2nd receiver for the actual video). I assumed that with a bit of switching that I could probably control an LNBF if I used BOTH ports, and used the 14/0 port to control the switching, but I wasn't sure what kind of switch could be used to do this (I don't really WANT to do this, I just wanted to know that I could if I wanted to). I have an old RS voltage switch, but it uses external wires. I assume there must be some that switch via the voltage on the coax. I guess I could look through old boxes and find the manual for my 6000. It probably explains it all.
