mobrules, I don't have a specific answer for you, but I too had run across someone saying that you might need a DishPro receiver connected to your DishPro LNB in order to provide appropriate power. It did seem, from what I'd read, that PC-based tuners were more apt to require the DishPro receiver connection due to the lack of proper voltage output from those cards.

I was doing some tinkering, hoping to use my digiwave to get BYUTV using my old Dish500 setup, and it worked 'fine' using a dishpro lnb and a dp32 switch (got some previews and NASA). Eventually, however, I ended up ordering a bigger dish in order to pull down BYUTV from another sat - as it appeared that the lyngsat "FTA" indicator for Dish's BYUTV offering was incorrect (as it shows up as encrypted on my receiver, when I do a scan). I guess that's all good now anyhow, since my dish500 is now hanging off the side of my roof due to a tree branch (ice storm)
