I've read for a couple of days here at the forum and still not finding my answer.
I was gave what looks like an 8' dish. It measure just shy of 8' (alum with small holes)
I've seen where I can get a
vbox or an digitial or an analog receiver.
What I got is a MercuryII hook up to my 36" motorize dish I got from
Sadoun.
The 8' has a motor, I didn't get the receiver with it. The lnbf says
c-band DR100 and it is a prime focus.
I had a bud before that was install from a pro on c-bands, so I put the 8' on the same pole. I don't know which bird it was set to last, but I took the dish down myself and it was pointing about 290 degrees for same zipcode 74937.
Am I able to hook this dish up to my mecuryII and fine tune it to what ever bird it was on last, with out something special like a ku/c lnbf or anything.
I've hooked a birddog up to it and it shows about 50% sig where i got it pointed, then goes to LNB short.
I'm in bit a hurry sorry, but one of the main questions is:
If I'm able to hook this up to my MercuryII other than dish size what do I gain? Am I able to pick up other type channels with out haveing to get a different ird? Will this replace my 36"?
