75 & 195 degree Azimuth examples


Azimuth:
The direction, in degrees referenced to true north, that an antenna must be pointed to receive a satellite signal (compass direction). The angular distance is measured in a clockwise direction

For example:
Raleigh, NC (city)
Location: 35.8N, 78.6W

For Telstar 5 satellite (97W longitude)
Azimuth: 215.6 (Magnetic - what you should see on compass)
Elevation: 44
LNBF Tilt: 24 degrees Counter clockwise looking at the lnbf and dish
