All your notebook is doing is upscaling it to 1080p, there is really no comparison between that and true 1080p source that can be downloaded from newsgroups or watching it from BluRay/HD DVD.
DVD players can do that. Which is great, because it's nice to get all you can from your computers. And playing games at
HD resolutions is awesome as well, Battlefield 2142 anyone?
and 1080p is just another stepping stone of course.
At CES i believe Sharp was showing off a 5megapixel hdtv or something like that. There gonna keep pumping out the rez to milk us of our money.
