I'll get the FTA stuff setup with it later this year so I'll let everyone know how it goes!

And yes... I did say VHF/UHF - I parted ways with my cable company this month due to outlandish price increases for 2007... unbelievable what they want you to pay. I can't wait until I can order my FTA setup!!
WOW you are brave. I have messed around with gentoo myth tv looks a bit greek to me.
We are trying to get as easy linux version so that anyone new or old can use it without the torture. New pclinux version should be out by early Feb 2007 testing it now.

I am working with pclinux and videolinux guy's to get a nice working linux distro that will support most of the PCI sat / tv cards as well as the usb one's. Dreambox on a pc.

This way it would be easy packages similar to windows setup files , click and run.

Looking now at the pclinux control panel and there is the "setup your tv card" option with plenty cards already supported not sure about the satellite cards.

The Love of Linux / Hardware Database this is a link that might help you as well.

If it was not for the fact that I get internet via cable I would have canceled as well.
