Darn no polar mount = stuck with current rubish cable.
darn darn darn.
So I am stuck with the only possible Satellite solution item / biggest dish to buy from Sadoun = 120cm motorized.
Will this 120cm even get more than 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 / 20 satellites.
I do not want to buy a small dish and later be stuck with a white elephant and have waisted my money.
That is why I wanted info and according to the info go big dish = worthwile investment.
I thought that the 120cm is only for 2 or 3 dish network ?? satellites directly above me or something and good for nothing else ?? Seeing I am staying at the end of the earth here.
Will I be able to get DW tv or even ?? ia5 ?? the one with the most FTA channels.
Why then do they sell 180cm and 240cm , I can not imagine being stuck on one satellite , can one even use a 180cm / 240cm with it stuck on one satellite = defeats the purpose of having a dish ??? I am clueless now.
Just when I was ready to send the credit card to buy this. darn darn darn.

Well someone posted a message a couple months ago about seeing a Fortec dish, not sure if it was the 240 or 180, coming with a polar mount. At that time I went to the Fortec web page, and couldn't find any mention of it. Perhaps if this is a new item at Fortec, that maybe Sadoun will offer it eventually. Also, it isn't that difficult to make your own polar mount, however it's certainly easier to get a dish that already has one.
Re the
Mercury. That won't control an actuator by itself, like it will control the DiseqC1.2 motors. It can control an actuator though via the
VBOX. Ie the Mercury sends signals to the VBOX, and the VBOX controls the actuator.
