Well, I used to install the Winegard DSS-2076 and it was pretty beefy. The pan is slightly flimsier, I agree, but the mast seemed sturdier than other brands - I suspect this is why Winegard choose not to use mast side braces with this model -- its just so damn butch it doesn't need 'em...
