My first digital receiver was a Fortec Star 786 and love it and its simplicity. but I was looking to receive the AC3 pbs channels, so I bought a Panasta 330 because I read in many places in the internet that is one of the best receivers. After installing the Pansat 330, I relized that it's a poor receiver on the picture quality, the Pansat 330A takes a long time to recognize the signal and display a higher quality signal while the fortec is quicker and have higher quality. The menus for the PaNSAT ARE A PAIN IN THE NECK and the text editor is poor. Fortec Star give more organization to menus and very simple. The remote for Pansat 330 is low quality and not very practical. the only better thing Pansat is good at is better digital sound and is faster when seraching satellites. Also Fortec Star receiver is small and compact receiver while the Pansat 330A is 2 heavier and take twice space.
