Want to move to a multi-room setup

I currently have a DRD212NW receiver within a one room dish system. I was given a multi-room system, model # DSM232RD, and have installed the LNB from this system to the dish.

Question:
Can I merely install the two receivers from the multi-room system package with a splitter and have a three room system? If no, what is the most economical means of achieving a three room system via DirectTV? Do I need to purchase additional hardware?
