If the DTV subscription is just the G3 things, then I don't think you need 2 cables for this. I assume that the Pansat has a passthru. Ie just run the passthru to the DTV box. The Pansat can control the dish.
I've run these signals into my Twinhan off the passthru of my Fortec, and it works fine.
Only problem I would see, is that sometimes DTV receivers needs to see more than one sat or more than one polarity, or it can't get authorized properly. I know that when my DTV receiver lost it's lnb power, I was powering my 3 satellite DTV dish with my Fortec, and using the 22KHz to switch sats to get my locals on 119, and switching polarity on the DTV dish using the Fortec too. Ie I had 4 channels programmed on the Fortec, ie 13V,18V,13V22KHz, 18V22KHz. Worked OK, except that if I would tune to 119, the receiver didn't think I was authorized, and wouldn't let me tune in the locals. It was necessary for me to first tune in the main 101 satellite to receive authorization, and then switch to 119 on one polarity, wait for a while then switch polarity on 119. It seemed like they kept their authorization streams, on different sats and polarity from the locals I wanted to receive. It sometimes got complicated, and I never completely figured out exactly what order was necessary, but I got it working.
But I guess my question is, if this SBTN subscription can be received by only looking at G3, on one polarity, then there shouldn't be a problem doing everything with one cable, but if this subscription requires tuning in the main DTV sat, and/or switching polarity, it might get complicated.
Ie is the paid DTV subscription to more than just the G3 stuff? Ie if you need to receive the 101 sat or some other DTV sat, too, then things can get pretty complicated.
