I am a 'novice' & I am setting up my first system and need some guidance.
I have a 90 cm dish and using a
sg2100 hh to move the dish. I need help/verification of the elevation settings for the sg2100 and the dish.
I live in area code 33327 and based on the info from the sg2100 and from
sadoun at
http://www.sadoun.com/Sat/Installati...stallation.htm, I have set the elevation of the sg2100 to 26 and the dish to 26 as well.
From
http://www.census.gov/cgi-bin/gazett...ate=&zip=33327 & based on my area code, I am at 26.097291 N, 80.40645 W.
The instructions indicate that the elevation of the sg2100 shd be the same as my latitude...ie 26.
The instructions also indicate that the dish angle shd be 30 deg - declination angle, which according to the table, based on my latitude is 4.377....ie 30-4.377 =26.623
So I have set the elevation of the motor ...the scale on the sg2100 to 26....and the angle on the scale of the dish to 26.6.
Please confirm if I have done it correctly.
Also according to the elevation and declination table my latitiude of 26 has an elevation angle of 64.....how come the calcualtion at
http://www.census.gov/cgi-bin/gazett...ate=&zip=33327 gives me a different angle.
