is the battery dead how can i replace it?
I feel the pain too, avex_vu

Now that the cold weather is here the battery performance of my Birdog sucks the big wazoo -- its really bad. I aligned only 4 dishes today and on the last one the battery indicator read 89 % and then the meter suddenly read "BATTERY LOW" and crapped out...

Good thing the Birdog comes with a 12 volt car charger -- or else I'd be screwed

I also notice that the signal strength reading you get in the cold weather is lower than usual -- but the actual signal strength of the dish is still good; so not to worry.

So I guess the trick is to keep the meter warm as much as possible. I'm now starting to leave the meter in the customer's house until I'm ready to use it -- even the cab of the truck may be too cold.
