Re: how many satellite is dish aim at ?

2. I was told 4 digit is C band and 5 digit is KU band , if the new receiver I but can it see both ?
FTA DVB receiver is able to receive FTA on both C and Ku. The DishNetwork dish is too small for C and Ku linear. Yes, using DishNet you still can get FTA DishNEtwork channels. Unfortunately, there are not many FTA DishNet channels. All the DishNet music ones are FTA. Minimum size for C-band is 7.5ft, Ku linear is 3ft.

3. what model of receiver that I need to buy to look at FTA , is easy to program ? cost ?
I need mostly news and sport and local TV news and music on dish, I don’t watch movie in this dish, I will use in a BAR .

I highly recommend the Fortec Lifetime, very user-friendly. You can buy one from Sadoun. He will treat you professionally. You need extra attention from him, tell him you are Michael's friend...:-)
If you are looking for news and sports, I recommand you to get a Ku dish. 3ft is a good start, but 90cm dish is much better. Lot of ethnic channels. About local channels, they come and go. Some local channels used to be on AMC4 and G3C, but they were gone.
G10R still has some local:

Remember the two dish is on the roof, I just want to buy a new receiver , so I don’t have to touch the dish , which I don’t know too well, and also I need local channel[/quote]
