Both of my dishes are not moterized. I have the DiSEqC connected between dish/LNB and receiver with short (3') coax cables. So, I don't think the signal decade is a issue. Plus, port 1 always works.
My receiver is PROSAT P-8800. Except for the first couple of trials, I have been experimenting with only ONE dish/LNB connected to the DiSEqC's port 1, 2, 3, and 4. No matter how I setup the receiver, the single LNB (either universal or regular) connection always work when it is connected to port 1, but never work when it is connected to any other port. Therefore, I think the only way to resolve this is to find someone having the same receiver to give me some suggestions. I am going to post another question to look for help for PROSAT P-8800 receiver setup as rainman suggested. Hope I can find someone has this receiver, even better yet someone live in Minneapolis/St. Paul area that I can talk to.
