I recommend you to use truesouth sat as the first one to start with. Yes, it is possible to set up h-h mount without
aiming at truesouth, but it's much more difficult. I actually set up one of my h-h mounts without aiming at truesouth, it's due to the trees, but very time-consuming. If this is the first time you set up motorized dish, use the "recommeded" approach. Excuse me if you feel offended.
Again, here is what you do:
1. Double check your LONG/LAT you key in.
2. Double check the LO setting.
10750 for standar
For universal: Low 9750, high 10600
3. Use 1.3 to move your dish to AMC5 which is your duesouth. Pick any active trasponder for tuning the dish. There are couple Empire Sport on AMC5. Check out lyngsat for the freq, pol, Sr of the fees.

4. Double check the h-h mount elevation. It should be the same as your LAT.
5. Set the compass at the azimuth of AMC5. The "true" azimuth of AMC5 should be 180 +/- magnetic deviation. You can get magnetic deviation here:

6. Set the dish elevation. Check out the link below for dish elevation:

7. Aim your dish to the AMC5 direction.
8. Move the whole mount left/right.
9.If you can't fine the locked signal, adjust the DISH elevation only. Don't touch the MOUNT elevation. Then repeat step 8.
Once you get lock on AMC5, try to max the quality. Move the dish using 1.3 to other sats to see if you can get lock.
Note: the skew must be set at 0 when the dish parks at the truesouth, in this case it is AMC5.
