Dear Serena

Congratulations on your Fortec Star 786NA receiver purchase.

The DiSEqC switch is used to switch between the C band and KU band LNBs. Since you son't have a KU band LNB yet on your big dish, there is no need to use the switch.

LNB connection should be as follows:

---(_ C-Band LNB
|
|
__|_
|___| Splitter (line indicates DC pass)
| |
| |__________________ 4DTV receiver
|
|
|
|___________ Fortec Receiver

In the Fortec receiver, change the LNB Type to Single-S
You should change the LO figure to 5150 by clicking OK on SINGLE-S and change the LO using the remote control buttons.

If SINGLE-S does not work, try SINGLE.
LNB Power should be V/H

Since the Mot is controlling the polarity of your LNB, make sure you scan the satellite twice on your Fortec. One time with a Vertical polarity and another with a Horizontal polarity.

RCA cables should be connected to an A/V receiver or directly to your TV Input.

The RF output from your 4DTV can go into the Antenna input of your Fortec, then you can connect the RF output on your Fortec to your RF input on your TV.
