My Lifetime and Ultra both have an RCA jack which is spdif or something like that, that plugs into a digital input on the extigy. I think the later model Fortecs have an optical output, and the extigy has an optical input. I think the Extigy has surround sound outputs, but I just use the earphone jack to my stereo, since I don't have surround sound. My only complaint is that every time there is a power failure, the volume goes to zero, and I have to reset it, however this must be a setting because I think other people have said that their extigy doesn't do that.

This Extigy is a easy and fairly inexpensive way to get ac3 to your audio equipment.. Thanks..
