Ie for someone at relatively northern latitudes, the motor axis will be pointing higher, and the angle of attack when lifting from an east/west sat will be less, and the motor doesn't have to lift as much, however someone at southern latitudes, the rotation axis of the motor is more horizontal, and the motor will have to lift more of the weight of the dish.

I assume that the length of coax would also be a factor. Maybe with a long coax run, you lose to much power for the motor to lift this dish?
