On my first dish, I learned from my friends mistakes. My friend and I both bought big heavy 10' dishes. My friend got his first, and mounted it on a PVC pipe instead of a steel pipe. Darn thing bent like a fly rod with a 5 pound bass on the line. Then went through a series of other mistakes. I waited until we figured out how to get his working, then when I went to set up my dish, it was a breeze.
