I get lots of the other channels with no problem, but would like to get GPTV PBS. I have done several scans etc to no avail.

I am sure I am missing something, but don't know what. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not familiar with the Pansat 2700, but I'd have to assume that it is a FTA receiver, not a DCII receiver ??? I know that there are a couple non-GI/Motorola DCII receivers, but I didn't think that any Pansats could do DCII, but maybe I'm wrong??
However assuming that it is NOT a DCII receiver, then I'm amazed that you could get any quality on that transponder, because usually FTA receivers can't even lock on DCII channels. So I'm confused either way.
If the 2700 happens to actually be a DCII receiver, then I'd be interested in the details, particularly, can it lock on any other FP signal? Ie some DCII receivers can only lock on ZK (unencrypted) signals, and I would think that this would be likely for a non GI/Motorola receiver.
The GPTV signal is an FP signal, ie encrypted, but encrypted with a fixed key known to GI/Motorola receivers, and typically any receiver that has been authorized to receive any DCII signal can receive FP signals, even if you aren't authorized for that signal.
So, if your receiver CAN do DCII, can you receive the main PBS-X channels on that same sat, ie the ones on 12096 or 12180? They are also FP.
However, if the 2700 is only a FTA receiver, then you can't do it, and I have no idea how you managed to get quality (ie a lock) on it, because an FTA receiver shouldn't be able to do that.
So, what kind of receiver is the 2700, you have me curious and confused.
Thanks.
