Most people who have bigger C/Ku dishes don't just have a FTA receiver, but also have analog receivers and Digicipher (DCII) receivers. Ie there is a lot more expense involved, but that's the way to get the most from satellite.
Thanks again for the answers! Well I'm totally lost now. Aren't both Telstar 5 and Telstar 13 C bands? If I got a dish that allowed me to get C bands, then I should not have to worry about Ku right? The ones I'm interested in getting from Sadoun (namely the Fortrec) say that I should have no problems getting my ethnic Farsi channels, which are on the Telstar 5, which is C band. If I get one that gets Telstar 5, then it should have no problems getting Telsar 13 no, since they both have the same linear LNBF requirements and are on the same band? And since Real Madrid TV is free and is not encrypted, I should be able to see it in it's entire glory no?

Or am I totally mistaken as is one on a C band and the other on a Ku band?
