If I wanted piracy information, I would go to a pirate website...there are plenty out there. I never claimed to be a naive saint, just a newbie. Thanks God I have the moneys to pay for equipment and services. I have a lot of things, I just mentioned the ones that I figured related to the topic. Directv installed a 4 bedroom system in my home & it is just working fine. I bought a Dish500 +3 Coolsats from Craigs list, a dude told me that I could get FTA channels (and yes, I know what are those now) with this. I set it up & even bought a motor for a 22" dish. Dude disappeared. It took me a while to find out the difference between Circular and Linear LNB's; mind you 1 1/2 month ago I didn't even know that FTA existed. So wife is bitching about our home looking like NASA & just wants one dish. Thought about the 36" & a set of LNB's, if possible. Directv said it would be okay to change equipment, just tell them what I had. They say Coolsats and their system could be linked just fine (through switches? 2 boxes?billing?) couldn't give me more details. I want Directv and FTA channels in one dish. That's why I'm lost with switches. But you know what,, too much of a hazzle & too much static. I will get help from a local technician.
