Mars will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye.
Mars will be easy to spot. At the beginning of August it will rise in the east at 10p.m.and reach its azimuth at about 3 a.m.
By the end of August when the two planets are closest, Mars will rise at nightfall and reach its highest point in the sky at 12:30a.m. ........

This is simply NOT TRUE. Notice that there is no year in the date.
This is a chain letter that has been going around for a few years. I received this chain letter from someone who also sent it to me last year and the year before.
Not only does mars NEVER look as big as the moon, but Mars won't even be visible in the evening for about a year. It is visible right now just after sunset, but then goes around behind the sun, and won't even be visible at all for months.
This message started a couple years ago, when mars did make a close approach to the earth, but it never would look as big as the moon.
Anyway...... NOT TRUE.
