I've never aligned a DishPro LNB so I really can't say how my Birdogs would behave, but I do get the same response you do with Echostar 61.5; so yes, I guess its not "service provider" specific. I really don't know. I guess I don't worry too much because I've installed so dang many dishes I don't really need positive ID because I can more or less eyeball the dish and tell what satellite its pointing to. But for the 1st timer yes, it would be frustrating.
