For those using the mounts that come with the dish (Fortec) definitely use the side braces as Brian has. I have attempted to use the same type of mount with a SG2100 motor with no side braces and the mount has a tendency to slip. The mount I have came with a Wingard dish and did not have any side braces. Could not use them where I have the dish mounted anyway. The Fortec dish is mounted on a pole which is about to happen to the Wingard

Commented here as your avatar is an ideal shot of a system installed with the mount that comes with the dish.

Brian. While the climb to the top is no greater you sure do build up a lot more speed as you are sliding off
