Thanks for your help Micheal. I believe when I had it set up on the Az-El mount I had to tweak the LNB and rotate it clockwise to about the 5 O'Clock position to get the best signal on T5. Now that it is set up on a modified polar mount do I need to rotate the LNB back to 12 O'Clock or some other value?? I believe the rotation of the LNB is known as skew or am I getting confused with another subject?? I'm getting sats from about 15 deg east
of AMC 3 and at least a few sats west of
DTV-5. I think my True south setup is about right as I used AMC-3 which is right on my true south longitude. I have quite a few trees around so I think that's why I'm a little limited but this is still going to be much superior to a fixed az-el. I did replumb my pole. When I first put the motor on I was about a degree off and it did make a noticable difference as I didn't get nearly as many sats as I can now. Im running a smallear ST-7700 and am beginning to wish it had the goto X function. Still a little confusing to know which sat I'm pointed at so I'm using the process of elimination. Thanks for taking the time to "school" a newbie.
