I think his point was not about having to possibly replace a $60 receiver... it was about whether or not his $650 "lifetime subscription" to the service would continue on for -his- life, or whether it ended with the life of the $60 receiver...
I don't have the answer, either... have you contacted
Sirius and asked someone there? It probably wouldn't hurt to get something in writing, just in case...
