Rather than buy a new and larger dish, why not just boost signal strength with an in-line amplifier? Sadoun sells one. It's listed on the splitter's page. The info on it says it boost the signal by 12 to 20 db, and works in the 950 to 2400 MHz range. I'm interested, too, because I've been having some signal strength problems myself for satellite 110. For some reason the channels in the 9400 range seem to be weaker than they used to be. I don't know why. The system info page says my status is "good", but some channels are breaking up anyway.


My hardware: Dish301 receiver, 20" Dish. Setup is five years old.
