Talking We are...

We are currently installing dp plus' in our area (eastern tennessee, south west virginia and western north carolina) which are supposed to replace the current method for installing superdish. All the local channels on superdish used to come in on the 105 and now the have been integrated to the 110 so we are currently no longer installing the superdish and have begun using the dish pro plus with all installs replacing the super with the dish 500. And to answer your question it has nothing to do with power draw... the dp plus has a built in switch which replaces the 34 switch making installation a lot easier with less to ground so the 110 and the 119 signal shoot out of the 119 side only. With these 2 combined the meter cannot lock on the satellite because there are 2 signals coming through the 1 cable. We usually peak the dish using a bird dog and a standard dishpro lnbf and then after the dish is set tight we swap the lnb to the dp plus.
