Can the SG2100 rotor be used with the Fortec 120 cm. dish in this setup, instead of the Stab HH120?

How do you know which satellites and transponders use linear or circular polarization?

Thanks,
Dana
I'll let Sadoun answer your Fortec questions as I'm not real familiar with them -- I keep meaning to try one out, but I seem to be in a SatCruiser frame of mind :roll:

Anyway, to tell whether a satellite is linear or circular polarity; go to www.lyngsat.com and click on the satellite in question. Under the first column on the left you will see the heading "Freq / TP"; if the transponders are labelled as V or H then that is linear polarity; if they are labelled as L or R then that satellite uses circular polarity.

here is a linear satellite (TelStar 5) ---> http://www.lyngsat.com/t5.shtml

here is a circular satellite (Nimiq 82) ---> http://www.lyngsat.com/nimiq2.shtml
