I have 2
Platinum receivers in service at the present and both within the last week locked G10 on their own. One day all was fine and the next the sat was locked. Originally thought operator error but the same sat by 2 different people in 2 different households.
Anyone else experience this? Is this a software issue with the Platinum? If so is there a software patch out there that can be installed without voiding warranty? No other sats seem to be affected. Just G10 Ku.
Unit 1 is a strictly Ku system and Unit 2 is tied to a large dish doing both C and Ku. I have not ruled out operator error just seems odd two identical receivers with identical issues that are housed with separate people.
To my knowledge only one person in each of the houses uses the system. I could not find where to lock an entire sat nor unlock but honestly I did not look all that hard either. I did find individual channel locks though.
